What we do in Wildwood

New construction beds
Beds that come with a new house are usually put in fast and cheap. Thin fabric or none, a shallow layer of mulch, and plants set where the crew had time rather than where they will do best. A year in, the weeds arrive. Redoing it properly once, with real barrier and a cut edge, saves you fighting it every season after.
Older Wildwood lots
On the older side of town it is the opposite problem: mature growth that has been left alone too long. That is clearing work, and it is a different price and a different day than a bed refresh.
